Cardiac Club Support

Cardiac Club support network

The Croí Cardiac Clubs, offer community support for people recovering from any type of heart condition or living with heart disease.

It is a unique initiative in that it is the only type of long term out-of-hospital support currently available in Ireland.
In fact, our work in this area was recognised in 2006 through a Public Service Excellence Award presented by An Taoiseach Bertie Ahern T.D at a special reception in Dublin Castle.
The goal of the Cardiac Clubs is to ensure the best possible survival and quality of life outcome for individuals recovering from any type of cardiac event or living with heart disease. Membership is FREE of charge and meetings take place regularly at various locations, throughout counties Galway, Mayo and Roscommon. Currently there are about 1200 Cardiac Club members.
