Father & Daughter Duo to Speak in Galway about their ‘Camino Experience’!

Father and daughter duo, Peter & Natasha Murtagh, will speak at a public meeting in Galway on Tuesday January 24th on their amazing 900km trek together across Northern Spain along the famed pilgrim path of the ‘Camino de Santiago de Compostela’.

 

Their story inspired them to write a book, ‘Buen Camino’, which has received a lot of media attention and they are coming to Galway to support local Heart & Stroke Charity Croí who are currently promoting two charity treks on the Camino – one in June and the other in September of this year.

Peter & Natasha will tell of their amazing 5 week journey which started by scaling Croagh Patrick in Co. Mayo and ended up after 900 kilometres across the Camino in the magnificient Cathedral city of Santiago de Compostela in Northwestern Spain. They will speak about their walk through the lush Spanish countryside; the quaint towns & villages they passed; the plethora of pilgrims they met and the bond they shared along the way. For anyone who has done the Camino, or who is thinking about doing the Camino…this is a talk not to be missed!

This FREE public talk will take place in the Westwood Hotel, Galway on Tuesday January 24th at 7pm. Croí representatives will be available on the night with details of their 2012 Camino Trek Programme. Director of Camino Ways, Roland Monsegu will also be on hand on the night with advice & tips on doing the Camino.
